small questions, i want to use heat shrink on my ide, and psu connectors.. i use a lighter for small internal modifications such as speakers.. is there anything else i can use as a heat source to shrink the cables?
 
a good hair dryer....a heat gun....if that fails just slap your hands together and then rub....ala Mr. Miyage.
 
Be very, very careful with a heat gun because it can start fires, melt solder, turn hamsters into charcoal, etc. A hair dryer or a lightbulb is a lot safer.
