Heat pipe way up?

In a Lian Li v-1000, i.e. the motherboard is the wrong way up, which way should the heatpipes be facing, up/down/side to side?
Alsom should the fan be suck or blow?

if it is the xp-90 or xp-120 it makes no difference(both questions)
 
Fan sucking or blowing is one of those ideological things, try it both ways, see which is best for you in your case with your airflow. As far as heatpipes you just want to makie sure the bottom of the heatp9ipe is down, or they are horizontal of course.
 
it has been tested and somhow thermalrights claims to the difference between suck and blow and heatpipe direction being negligable are correct, somhow they did it unless your one of those people who run there cpus hot enough that 1 deg C makes a lot of a difference :rolleyes:
 
how powerful is your fan .if its like a delta 220 cfm beast, then have it sucking hot air off your mobo and mosfets, and your cpu temps wont change, AFAIK. i saw a thread about it somewhere. ill link soon
 
I always liked mine blowing... (when I was on air) ... for the simple fact that the fan looks better in that configuration.
