Headsets, bluetooth, and gaming

TL;DR Version

I need a new headset, primarily one that doesn't go on top of the head.

1.) Does anyone have a Sennheiser MM100 that works with PC flawlessly, allowing microphone and stereo to work at the same time?

2.) Has anyone successfully gotten a Siberia Neckband Apple Edition (Its wired not bluetooth) to work with PC with Stereo and Microphone at the same time?

The above was my favorite pair ever, however they broke after 6 months and apparently this is a recurring problem. The band that loops around the back breaks guaranteed over time, and unfortunately seems to be the case for all their more expensive ones of this variety. On top of that the sound wasn't that great, and the mic quality was "ok". It was mostly the comfortableness that sold me.

Im very interested in wireless headsets, however there are very few to chose from and much fewer with the behind the neck style. Then i started looking at bluetooth. Unfortunately it seems nearly all bluetooth headsets are aimed at phone use, and when you try to use them on PC, the microphone and sound cannot be used at the same time.

Im very interested in the pair linked below however with the above issue im not so sure. I've heard that this issue can be resolved by using a better bluetooth receiver with a special driver? Anyone have some input on that?

So wireless seemed to be out of the picture and the i came across this beauty. Its wired but yes it actually rests on the neck and not the top of the head.

However... I then realized there is an "Apple Products" version, and i thought hey wonder if it works with Android, and yes it does to an acceptable extent. So i thought i'd kill two birds with one stone since i need a phone headset and gaming headset.

However, i can't seem to find anywhere that it is confirmed to work with a PC. Reason being that it only has one 3.5mm Iphone-like end that has the Stereo and microphone combined. There are splitters that exist that are "3.5mm female to dual-male-audio" however i can't find anyone confirming this works, since this kind of hack doesn't work every time.

as far as your bluetooth question, heres the real issue. bluetooth profiles.
the profile you would use for high quality stereo music is A2DP. this profile does not provide mic functionality.

the profile youd use for mic use, is HSP profile. the HSP profile utilizes the mic and a monorual low bitrate codec specially designed for voice use.

(every low rating ive seen is someone using it with the wrong kind of headset)

but to be honest, i would buy the PC version and go with the reverse adapter. reason being, the control buttons can mess with the mic input on some headsets. not all though.

considering apples penchant for doing this bass ackwards from everyone else, i wouldnt expect something designed specifically for iphones to be 100% compatible. that adapter is designed to be used with generic 3.5mm cell phone headsets.
