i wouldnt mind getting a plantronics headset. but here is my dilemna.

it has 2 plugs, 1 mic 1 headphone.

i like to plug my headphones into my base station of my z -560s. because i like to use my speakers. but i have to use headset for gaming. but if i do that then i dont have the cable length to plug the mic part into the sound card.

tips?
 
Spend ~10 bucks at radio shack to get a 6 foot audio cord and a coupler, either stereo or mono.
