Headset or mic/good cans combo?

Been searching around the forum and reading various threads, but just wanted to ask those of you who do use microphones or headsets, which do you prefer? I've used headsets up till now but most at times, have crappy quality. So Im looking to invest in either one of those. If you're the person who uses a headset, if you don't mind telling me your headset and if you use mic/good set of cans, could you do likewise? :D
 
I currently use Plantronics .Audio 90's, but I'm probably going to buy Sennheiser PC150's today.

The .Audio 90's are just fine for gaming for the price (Nice mic as well), but depending on how often you will use them you might want to get something better.
