I will be getting the Z-5500's next week with my new computer. However since I play WoW I am also going need a headset for Vent. The problem is I cant find a way to use a normal headset and still be able to use my speakers. As far as I know in order to use the headset I'd have to disconnect my speakers plug in the headset play WoW/Vent then when I want to do something else disconnect the headset and reconnect the speakers.
I looked at a USB Headset (The Logitech Premium 350) But it doesn't work in Vista and reading up on it, none of the USB headsets work on Vista. I then had the idea of getting a bluetooth adapter and bluetooth headset, expensive but it should work. Researching it though I found that Vent is hit and miss with bluetooth. Some headsets work and others don't
So maybe I'm missing something but is there anyway I can have a headset without having to disconnect my speakers everytime I want to use it?
EDIT: Forgot to mention the soundcard is Soundblaster X-fi and the motherboard does have onboard audio, this was one idea I had was to use the X-fi for the speakers and the onboard audio for the headset. Would this work or would it cause conflicts?
