Heya guys,

I’ve posted this in the EVGA forums and haven’t been able to get any answers, so I was hoping you guys could help me out. I have a new rig with a 780i, using Realtek onboard Sound Card. The sound is actually pretty good through 5.1 setup and headphones, but I’m having a problem that should not be so hard to fix, but I am LOST.

I’m a raidleader, so having my headset functioning properly is critical. I have new Plantronics Gamecom 367 Headset plugged directly into the soundcard and the Realtek soundmanager is reading everything properly as it should, but for the life of me I cannot get the Mic to project my voice above a whisper! I have tried everything and have all of the levels cranked to the max and nothing sans of upping the Mic Boost to +30 will make me come through at any acceptable level. And at +30……….you can imagine the noise………so that is not acceptable either.

I am in need of advice – anything! A point in the right direction if nothing else. Maybe a forum or lit that I could diagnose and fix the problem on my own if nothing else. Like, if this were happening to you, how would you go about resolving it?

p.s. I just sent an email to EVGA tech support, but haven’t received a reply yet. No telling how long that will take. I’m willing to do whatever anyone suggests.

Thanks in advance
