Headphones review website?

I use http://www.headphone.com/ as a good starting point. They use a lot of specialized equipment to create their graphs which are useful tools (but not the ultimate tool to determine which headphone is superior to another).

With such a large userbase over at headfi, you actually get reviews that compare products to each other, describe which headphones are like which headphones, what makes X headphone good, or bad.

IMO that is far better than having a review of a product on a sometimes "oddball website", done by someone with substandard equipment, and with no experience on what they are talking about.

I personally am happy with my bass light HD595, but without something to compare it to, I cannot possibly give a fully objective opinion of it.

Most of the people over at headfi have multipe headphones.

Just sayin' :D
 
Becareful at Headfi , while its a great resource for the world of cans , its also full of disinformation put out by the vendors who sponsor all parts of the site. Some of the vendors are the genuine article however and will bend over backwards to help you out or improve their product line (Jason from Schiit comes to mind , great dude). But many vendors won't say a peep and you'll often hear what sounds like a company line from some random poster who obviously is not that "random". Most members are helpful but often you'll hear "well if your budget is only $300 , you should seriously consider saving another $1500 for a REAL SETUP" nonsense so just ignore that crap.

Jube seems like a decent guy but he's obviously very biased to his advertisers and I've never seen him give nothing but a glowing review to almost everything he shows off. People have been banned (in large numbers) for not drinking the kool aid. So I recommend you lurk , get a feel for the place and when you have a valid question to ask then post something.

Also use the search function before you post anything because there are SO MANY commonly repeated threads and it just serves to annoy the members there. There several huge "best headphones for $$$" threads you can consult.

Seriously, I am over 70 headphones owned so far.
 
Another for InnerFi. Great reviews , I don't always agree with Tyll but he gives honest reviews that I know don't get buffed by sponsors unlike some other site.

Not to mention you can't doubt Tyll's experience.
 
Ya watch out on HeadFi. There are way too many snobs there, as well as people who listen with their wallets rather than their ears and recommend things that demonstrably (like as in measured on a scope) do not make a difference.

Headroom (headphone.com) is pretty good since they actually want to sell you headphones. Not perfect, but they are a decent place to get a feel for what is good at certain price ranges.
