So I have a newer mobo, onboard sound no sound card. I have my headphones plugged into a FiiO e9+e7 combo going into a usb port.
Once in a while, after several hours of gaming+ventrilo+music etc, my headphones will start to crackle as if there is some lag. When I change source to my speakers, which go through another dac, the issue isn't there. When I restart my comp, the issue is gone but does come back eventually.
These headphones are 2yrs old, have had their cord run over enough times, and are being replaced soon. But is there any chance something else is the problem, and what should I do to figure it out?
