I'm looking for a good pair of headphones that I can get quickly (in a store instead of an internet sale preferably) and for about $50. I'm not too picky about quality and I couldn't care less about how they look. I just want something to listen to music and play a couple games. It's going to be in a laptop headphone jack anyways, so I'm sure the quality can't be that good. Anyways, any suggestions?

Edit: I'd like them to at least be comfortable. I hate those ones that wrap around behind your head because they're always uncomfortable to me. Earbuds or giant ear muff things would be better.
 
I think most of the people on here would first and foremost recommend the Sennheiser HD497s -- probably can find them around town. They are supposedly exceptional for the price. They are, as you say, "ear muff" style phones and are quite stylish to boot. They run $40-70.

Also from what I've read on here, if you don't want to spend even that much, then the Koss Porta Pro (over the head, but ugly as hell though), or the Koss KSC-35 offer surprisingly good performance for that price range (they have earphones like the behind-the-neck kind but lack the behind-the-neck connector bar).

I've been studying -- to the resident audio gurus: did I do okay?
 
Refurb Senn HD-280 Pro are at ecost.com for ~$60 shipped. It's an excellent headphone, even if not as portable. It's pretty revealing of poor source.
