Hope this is the right section if not sorry mods please move then.Anyways my question is this trying to get ready for black ops well i was wondering if it would be worth a upgrade to the hd 595 without a sound card currently i have the g35's this is my mobo if it matters asus rampage 3 extreme so would the onboard sound be too bad to upgrade to the 595's?and also should i get the 555 i can get them for 94 while the 595 is 184?

The 595's are really sweet cans for gaming/music. I would personally upgrade the sound card to compliment the new headphones. Maybe get the headphones now & the sound card in the near future. There should be some good sales during the holidays. I like the HT Omega sound card which works great for my headphones & headset. Then you have the ASUS Xonar & Creative sound cards.

The HD595's aren't twice as better as the HD555. Neither headphone needs a headphone amp.

I'd just get the HD555 for 94. But you might be able to get them for less.
