I'm looking to buy a pair of decent headphones but don't know anything about the market.
I have used cheap philips ear buds and Sony MDR-V700DJ. I loved the sony headphones until they broke. Now I have a pair of cheap cans that are way too heavy.

I'm looking for headphones that I can use for watching movies on my computer, playing games and running at the gym. My price limit is 150 USD

I will be buying them in China from taobao (chinese ebay).

** I also hope that the detachable cable from the buds

I have come across the shure SE215- how are these? anything better in this price range?

I don't think that the MDR-V6 or the ATH-M50 would be very suitable for running.
 
Yes, the first set I have been considering is the Shure SE215, I just hadn't really come across any compelling alternatives for comparison.
 
I really like the MEElectronics M6 for this. Fit is flush to the ear and they stay in well with little microphonics. Plus they are tough and inexpensive with excellent sound for the $$. I can run, shoot baskets, dance, whatever and do not even notice them.
 
shure, klipsch. good products to run with. comfortable fits.
I dont think I ever seen a cable detached from earbuds for earphone speaker products.
 
The cable MEElec has been using is amazing, very little cord noise even compared to pricier IEMs. I run with a pair of JVC IEMs just cause they're older than my MEElec's and I wanted to save those for school travel, but I'm tempted to throw the JVC 'mellows in a drawer cause the MEElec's produce a lot less friction noise while moving.
 
are there any good Klipsch options? I don't want something like the s4i which has apple controls and a mic. I just want earbuds and a detachable cable. noise cancelling would also be appreciated if it is offered in my price range.
 
Almost forgot the mention of the M6 which is good for gym use/running offering decent sound but doesn't cut the mustard against the SE215 in terms of sound clarity and extension, although the sound stage on the M6 is wider.

Yeah, I use them b/c I tend to destroy iems and prefer not to spend more than $30 on them b/c of that. Not sure what my issue is but they never last more than 6 months.
 
The ATH-M50 sound great for the computer but again not so much for the gym
 
The Sony MDR-NC22 are decent for the price, unless you can't stand the battery that dangles along with them.
