Headphone Popping

I'm having issues with my audio setup. Something is causing my headphones to pop. I'm not sure if it's the amp or it's the headphones.

It doesn't happen all the time and it's not easily replicated. Under the same conditions the headphones won't pop. Which makes me believe it's the amp doing something weird.

Only real way to determine what is at fault is to start swapping parts. ie: test with another headset and/or use a spare amp

How is the amp connected to the PC?

Could be DPC latency: I have popping with Frostbyte games (BF1, Andromeda, etc) which is compounded by having SLI enabled.

Don't yet have a fix, and the DPC latency checker apps haven't been too helpful, though anti-virus seems to be one culprit.
