Headphone, earbud recommendation

I have an HP Envy 14 laptop with beats audio, and when I have my big headphones plugged into it, it actually sounds very good to my non-audophile ears. However, I don't want to lug those monster headphones with me to school. I currently use the earbuds that came with cellphone and they're pretty weak. Any suggestions for a lightweight, collapsible, easy-to-store headphone or earbud (on the cheap too, I don't want to spend a ton on this) that would fit the bill for this scenario?

I don't actually have the beats headphones. The laptop was good for me w/o the beats sound card and I didn't want to drop $300 on phones. $12 sounds much better to me :D
 
Oh sound card. Cool. Yeah go ahead with the MEEs. They do really well for the $$. I have the M6s which are clear and flush with your ear. Those are great. Get the Sony Hybrid tips on amazon for the best fit. Makes a big difference and is about $8 for a pack.
