Headphone decesion

No price over $20 is good for the HD570s IMO. I used to own a pair, they suck. Grados are decent, and you may want to look at the Sennheiser HD497. What is your source? Do you have a headphone amp?

HD570 suck that bad. Source is Audigy2 and no amp. Looked at the 497s, but just looking at other choices/opinions...

Yeah, they do. The HD497s sound a lot better. Ever wonder why the 570s are always on sale The 570s are the most power hungry dynamic cans I've heard, while the 497s sound great even when running off a portable cd player. The Grados are decent too, but IMO the 497s sound more natural.
