Headphone decesion

No price over $20 is good for the HD570s IMO. I used to own a pair, they suck. Grados are decent, and you may want to look at the Sennheiser HD497. What is your source? Do you have a headphone amp?
 
HD570 suck that bad. Source is Audigy2 and no amp. Looked at the 497s, but just looking at other choices/opinions...

Yeah, they do. The HD497s sound a lot better. Ever wonder why the 570s are always on sale :p The 570s are the most power hungry dynamic cans I've heard, while the 497s sound great even when running off a portable cd player. The Grados are decent too, but IMO the 497s sound more natural.
