Headphone Buying Advise?

No mic in? Would line in do it? Unbelievable.... what motherboard do you have? I think you'll be missing out on EAX with most if not all USB solutions.

Does anyone know if any of these USB headphones actually do hardware accelerated DirectSound3D algorithms or do they just use Microsoft's HRTFs for headphones? For example, do the DSP 500s really have some special 5 channel virtualization like Dolby Headphone (HRTFs I guess) above and beyond Nforce and/or Audigy 2 solutions or is it just a marketing gimmick?
 
Actually, My card says it supports mic in, but I cant get it to work.

And My Mobo is the Nforce2 m7ncd
