Hello all. I'm in the market for some new headphones cuz I'm tired of not being able to hear every little detail of my trance music and having weak bass. I want the sound to be good but one of the most important factors for me is comfort. I have a rather large head, so regular size phones don't cut it. ATM I'm using KOSS UR-15C headphones which fit me perfectly at almost full extension. I've been looking at the Senn HD280s or HD497s. I wear headphones mostly because I have my computer in my living room and my family is usually around (still live at home). Minimal sound leaks from the phones I have now and doesn't really bother them, which is why i'm leaning towards the HD280s. I wish i could test the feel before i buy them but I can't so I'm asking here. Anybody with a fat head have these? Would help me a lot if I knew they were going to fit me well :D

I've tried on the HD280s before and they clamped a little (yes, I got a big nugget too). What kind of budget are you working with?

would the 497s fit better since they are open? I heard they have better sound too?

If you go with the HD497s you are gonna have to stretch them out a little bit. Even people with small heads find they fit to tightly. :)
