So i know this isnt in the exact right section of the forum but i wasnt totally sure where to ask it.
So i read this today http://gizmodo.com/5356007/normal-people-can-now-install-cablecard-tuners-on-windows-7-pcs

and i am curious in lamer terms, what does it mean? Are they talking cable cards that you get from your cable company? As in like the cable card i have in my HD-Tivo?
Basically, i really want tv on my computer, in good quality, though HD tv would be awesome. I can transfer shows from my tivo but live tv would be great.
How does this article affect my wanting cable tv (like the cable that goes into my tv) on my computer? And what products are the best for my wants if you know any?

Thanks, sorry if the questions are a bit, un-educated, but hey thats why im asking you guys to help educate me on the topic. :)
