I just got the ATI HDTV wonder. From what ive heard the antenna that comes with it is crap and from what ive seen it kinda is. I can get a lot of channels with it, but it takes a lot of moving it around and even then the picture sometimes drops. My question is does anyone know any brands of uality and high preformance antennas and where to pick them up at? Thanks in advance.

R - I had the same question some time ago. Bought a refurbed ATI, and wanted something I could use reliably inside the house and out. In the end, I returned the ATI as I believe it was defective. BUT...
I did do some searching. TheGreenButton and other TV related sites were great for this. And the Trek series of antennas get VERY good reviews. I was going to go that direction, but in the end got Comcast HD instead.
Would still very much like a good HD OTA tuner and antenna for my 2005 MCE PC. But for now, I'm making due with recording the non-HD channels and burning to DVD on occasion.

You mean TERK brand of antennas? They are overpriced and under performing, especially when compared with some of the antenna's available at the 2 sites I listed above. Also to get a better idea of where your broadcast towers are hit up www.antennaweb.org and plug in your address and see what directions the towers are from your place.

Thats a great antenna, if you have to put it in your attic I recommend getting the Channel Master 7777 pre-amp, also available from both places. You lose about 25-50% of signal by having the antenna inside versus mounted outdoors.
I have a 4228 with a weaker pre-amp and I reliably get signals from over 60 miles away though I do have it mounted outside.
