Is it just me or are HD's getting extremely cheap within the last few months??
Newegg has a WD 300 gig sata for 1250 and a 250 IDE for 98.. :eek:
 
Now that production has ramped up on 100+GB platters from all of the makers, it is possible to sell drives like 300/320GB units at the price point formally held by 250GB drives. Hitachi and Samsung have 250GB drives that only need two platters, rather than the three required to achieve 250GB from 2004's flagship drives.
