Been gaming on my LG 55B7 for a couple years now and have noticed that some PC games if not natively supporting the HDR will bug out and require I manually toggle the TVs input signal for HDR on/off to get the screen to display. By chance was playing MGSV the other day and noticed that the HDR worked flawlessly when using Max Screen Bordered vs Fullscreen in the game settings menu. So tried this same thing in Divinity OS 2 which notoriously will bug out when the game starts and viola the problem is fixed. Hope this helps anyone else on the internetz if they have similar HDR support issues on their PC games.
TLDR
Set Windows 10 to display everything in HDR in the settings menu [hdr compatible display].
Open PC games, change in game settings to Max Screen with Borders or other similarly named setting under Display options.
Enjoy bug free HDR support for non-HDR titles.
