can i use one of the 2 ports that are supposed to be for the inlet, for the outlet to my pump. Then use the one that is supposed to be used as the output, as then input comming back in? Just curious because i dunno why the divider piece is there and if there is only one output one for a reason. I was thinking the output side was smaller for less airbubbles or something. I dunno.

there should be a step-down side of the res. [side that is lower than the dual port side] this should be your outlet from the res. to the pump, completing your loop.

The dual input is for a config that is branching from two points [i.e. block and\or rad]. this is so that you can feed two inputs into the res. [whatever they may be]

Otherwise most people just use the included plug to close one of the dual input ports.

one in \ one out
or
two in \ one out

But, you should use the [stepped down\ one out] side for your outlet, it is designed to force the air to the other side [i.e.dual side]

Your choice. ;)

well... I accidently hooked mine up backwars the first go round.... needless to say I was sucking up more air than a vacuume cleaner... So no, you probly wouldn't want to use the side with 2 ports for the pump

yeah it's a nice thingy, make's it easy to get rid of bubles if used properly :D , but the filling port is too deep inside to fully bleed the res and the system as a whole :(

It works just fine when it's upright but never put the system on a side... bubles will be all over. I have a little amount of air trapped in the res and it helps me to see whether my pump is working (I'm having troubles with the pump lately) but otherwise it's a nice res.

ha, ha, ha...

I also hooked up the reservoir backwards on my first time. Didn't work too well that way. I never noticed that one side was lower than the other. And I think one of the thread fittings still leaks a tiny bit. I don't know why they used NPT fittings, they really need to redesign the thing with o-ring seals.

Yup, leaked on me when I was testing outside the case. So I just added tons of teflon tape and it's been leak-free for almost 3 months  . /me knocks on wood ;)
