HDMI to DVI?

I need to drive two monitors that have only DVI inputs from a socket 1155 H67 motherboard with i3 CPU. The motherboard has DVI, HDMI and VGA graphics ports.

Is converting HDMI to DVI the only option without adding a video card? Are there any quality or speed issues in doing this?

HDMI to DVI is the better, and less expensive, option. The only thing you'd lose is any audio being sent over the HDMI, but that sounds like a non-issue given the configuration you're running.

That's right, there's no need for audio. Just out of curiosity, what are the other options?

Do you know of a decent HDMI to DVI converter (rather than a full HDMI/DVI cable)?

That mother board may only do two monitors with one being VGA. Hdmi and the dvi port may share the same clock so only one or the other might only be usable at one time.

Monoprice.com sells the dvi to hdmi cable cheap, I bought a few in the past for $5 or 6 bucks each.

Yes, it's a monster cable product, I just chose it because it's under prime and that's what my search usually limits to. There are a few others, but the cables seem a lot more popular.

Something like this should be fine.

Edit: Zepher raises a good point. Check the mobo documentation to see if there are any limitations on dual monitor arrangements.
