I'm having problems with HDMI. It blacks out intermittently for a couple seconds. Either it's the video card, cable, or monitor. My graphics card is Sapphire's HD 7950. DVI and displayport works fine. Only HDMI is flawed. I'm wondering if others have experienced something like it. Any way to get it to work?

I'd try replacing the cable first, maybe a chair ran over it and damaged it. Otherwise it sounds like an issue with one of the HDMI ports, either from the source device or the input device.

It's a new cable.

I googled about this issue and it seems to be common. So this is probably a design flaw with HDMI itself. My drivers are up to date.

Have you only tried the new cable or did you have an old cable that did the same thing?

Just because it is new does not mean it is not bad. Had to deal with Dish recently and there abundance of bad cables.
