Howdy. Recently, when I power on my Hannspree HF229H (over a year old) it has been displaying a wide variety of dancing pixels and what I can only describe as a "flicker" against white backgrounds. It's connectd via HDMI to the native HDMI port on my XFX 5870. I've had the 5870 since the second week after launch and have only begun to have this problem in the last week. It eventually corrects itself without assistance from me.
So far I've tried switching HDMI cables and reseating the connections. I've also switched modes from "PC" to "Video" and back and played with the color settings. The "dancing" is much less noticeable under some settings than others.
I haven't tried using the DVI port. I initially used it when I bought the monitor and the signal quality was terrible, which I attributed to the shoestring thick, poorly shielded cable I was using. When I switched to the HDMI cable it was like using an entirely different monitor.
Is there anything I should try to do to remedy this problem? Maybe look for another monitor?
Thanks for your help.
