Setup:
LG L246WP 24" Monitor
Logitech Z-2300 2.1 Speakers
Xbox 360/PS3 hooked up through HDMI
This situation has been bothering me for a while now, and I have no idea how to fix it or what causes it. When I try to use HDMI audio through my monitor from the Xbox 360/PS3, on high frequencies such as explosions, bangs, and loud sound effects, a nasty crack/pop sound comes from the speakers. This does not happen when I have it hooked up through analog audio, but when using the audio-out of my monitor to output HDMI audio to my speakers, this issue happens. This happens with both consoles and I have no idea how to fix it, can anyone help?
The monitor's HDMI audio out option is a standard 3.5mm jack that you can connect speakers into.
