can an hdmi cable run 1080p @ 75hz?
what about a standard vga cable?
i'm overclocking my monitor in nvidia control panel and trying to figure this out.
i set custom resolution at 1080P 75hz and it seems to be running fine on my hdmi but I don't know if it's actually giving me the 75hz or if hdmi is locked at 60hz.

thanks for the help! i can't figure it out with google search everyone says different stuff.

HDMI has no limitation on refresh rate but does on pixel clock.
It all depends on whether the input board takes it then if your timing controller can take it and finally your panel.
VGA should be able to do it in terms of cable bandwidth.

You can use the refresh rate tool to see how much you're really getting.
