Thats not eARC.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MSWMXT4
Got this yesterday- it's great. It's better than my 2080Ti's built in HDMI port- I can output up to 12bit 4k/60Hz 4:4:4 YCbCr on my Samsung I use as a display. I have yet to try on my Vizio PQX mainly because of Vizio's shitty HDMI 2.1 compliance. Goddamn Vizio eARC only supports 2.0 PCM and VRR doesn't really work.
What's not? The TV is supposed to support eARC, it doesn't implement it properly. 7.1PCM is part of the eARC spec, LG TVs can support it.Thats not eARC.
If "Goddamn Vizio eARC only supports 2.0 PCM", thats ARC not eARC.What's not? The TV is supposed to support eARC, it doesn't implement it properly. 7.1PCM is part of the eARC spec, LG TVs can support it.
Ok. Vizio's implementation of eARC can pass bitstreamed DTS-HD and TrueHD, but with only PCM 2.0 implementation you can't use it for proper PS5, PC or Apple TV audio (probably other streaming devices as well). If "Goddamn Vizio eARC only supports 2.0 PCM", thats ARC not eARC.
I'm not correcting you, I'm backing you up.
