I am going to put my body in cryonic suspension...wake me when they mate HDMI 2.1 with a high refresh OLED 40" 4k 144hz HDR display
 
I just jumped to 4k OLED for the TV- but this (and comparable DisplayPort) are what I'm waiting for on the desktop.

But I don't game in the living room.

For those that do, this will be huge. VRR + 4k@120Hz will rock when consoles get around to supporting it (and I think that the Xbox One X supports the VRR function already).
