So I finally invested in the HDHR Prime. For those of you unfamilar with it, I can stream TV to computers over the network. It uses WMC, and everything is displayed in the built in guide. The only thing I lose is OnDemand.... but my NAS is on demand Plus the cost of the CableCard is like $3/month vs the $20/month I'm paying for the two set top boxes. I already have HTPC's hooked up to the TV's Its just time to switch over to the HDHR.
Anyway...
I dont think theres going to be a need for the Actiontek anymore since I'm already running pfsense and get my interwebs through CAT5 coming out of the ONT. The only thing the Actiontek does a the moment is supply the set top boxes internet via MoCA for their TV Guides.
No more STB, no more Actiontek.
Anyone else know of another reason why I might need to keep the Actiontek?
