HDD speed/spec for storage.

So I have an SSD (Soon to be dual SSD in Raid 0.) for O/S and games. I currently use single 1TB seagate 7,200 RPM 32mb cache 3Gb/s HDD for picutre, documents, video, software, and backup storage.

I would like to get a set of bigger HDD and set it up in Raid 1 or 5 array. But my question is... Do I need large cache, 7,200 RPM WD Black for what I use it for?

Recommended me a hard drive for my intended use anyone?

For the storage patterns you are stating, which are going to be mostly audio/video and backups and on a non-OS single user drive , you will see no difference in the drive cache sizes, especially if you are going RAID5.
 
WD Black drives are not suitable for RAID1/RAID5.

They work in software raid like zfs or linux software raid but tend to fail (get kicked out of arrays unnecessarily bringing the array down) with real hardware raid or motherboard raid.

RAID is added complexity and only for uptime or performance. I'd suggest having two single drives and do backups from one drive to another.

I agree. And on the windows platform raid5 is either expensive (real hardware raid with bbu) or slow (motherboard raid) and in either case it does not remove the need for a backup anyways since the whole raid array can fail (especially on cheap raid) among other failure modes (virus, accidental or deliberate deletion, power surge ...)

Also raid 5, I would only use it today (with 1TB+ drives) from 4 to 6 drives so it has limited usage.
