Well, as a few of you may have noticed, I'm selling my SCSI setup in the FS/FT forum. It got me thinking, though - When exactly do you have to value practicality over performance?
I was told going into the SCSI scene that I didn't _NEED_ the setup I purchased. I knew they were right. But I purchased it anyway, and loved it. I figured that between that, my collection of odd HDDs, and the 320GB SATA drive, I was set for a while.
Then I got a bit short on cash - I sold off my collection of 40GB drives one by one. And my storage space gradually decreased. I'm down to about 500GB now, and I've got no place to store my DVD ISOs, .DV files, or my anime. I've been deleting my anime to make room for the rest of it, and I'm STILL almost out of space.
So, let's hear it - I'm sure you guys have sob stories about losing HDD space! Mass drive failures, budgetary concerns, buyer's remorse... I wanna hear em all.
