My friends laptop crashed and blue screened after which it would not boot into Windows XP so I picked it up and brought it home.I put it in a enclosure and plugged it into my PC and found it had 2 partitions each being 37 GB.The primary was inaccessible but the secondary was fine and I could open files.I used my windows disk and it did not see a OS so I used the repair console and repaired the MBR.Now it still won't boot to windows but in the enclosure I can see the data on the primary partition now.The problem is I have not been able to copy the files. When ever I try it either locks up or I get a error like "Semaphore timeout period has expired". I'm trying to save his photos which he did not back up,about 4 GB's worth.Any suggestions?
