HDD Light not working?

Just recently with my old tower, the HDD light on the front of the case comes on at start up and then just goes off and never comes on again. It should come on flickering when something is loading but it does not.

I just got a new tower and its still not working correctly what is the problem?

My mobo is in my sig
 
Check the connections of the cable, and try reversing the plug.
 
come on, im sitting here right now waiting for answers and im watching my post fall down the list... its going to be on page 2 in a minute

Check the cables yet again, make sure the orientation is right. If all else fails, the header on your mobo might have gone bad. It's not like it's a serious problem...so don't worry about it. Demanding answrs isn't going to get you anywhere...especially for a cosmetic problem.
