HDD keeps waking up - activity logger

Hello,

I'm using SSD for OS and all programs + also have 1 TB WD RE4 installed - just for backups and some multimedia. Got Doom 3 installed on it since it has 60 GB, but steam client is off all the time, so it shouldn't be waking HDD up.

Thing is, it keeps randomly waking up - then it spins for 5-15 minutes, then goes off and again. If I switched HDD off with drive power manager (www.drivepowermanager.com) , then it stayed off until I accessed it manualy, which is interesting... HDD is set to sleep after 1 minute of inactivity.

Is there any free and reliable HDD activity tracker and logger so I can see, which programs or processes accessing the HDD and waking it up ?

Thanks

Noticed this but dont know how to fix it other than the windows operating system will access the drive, just the MFT every hour or so to refresh its cache. I was able to spin down the drive manually and have it wake up when accessed which took much longer than the windows sleep function.
Windows resource monitor accessible from the task manager will show you the files and a lot of info on this.
