I have some concern regarding my hdd. I switched all my hardware over to newer equipment and put in an ASUS P5GD1-VM motherboard with SATA. It had a PIDE (something to that sort), I had to install a Raid Driver inorder for the system to see my IDE HDD. I'm waiting a bit before I upgrade to a SATA Drive but I have noticed a serious decline in HDD Performance. Is that normal? I'm wondering if its the fact that this board isnt really built with an IDE Controller but instead an adapter to make IDE's work. Is that the problem?
