Hello everybody.

Can anyone tell me if this combo is possible.

A hard drive

Plus VANTEC ALUMINUM DUAL FAN HARD DRIVE COOLER at the bottom of HDD

Plus another ZM-2HC1 NP HEATPIPE HDD COOLER with heatpipe facing so so there Vantec is right inbetween HDD and heatpipe

Will this combo work? Cause if it work, my hard drive is gonna be really really cold!

You know, a fan blowing in front of your HD is really all it takes.

But if you really want to go for it, these 2 should be able to fit yes.

They aren't designed to work together but I'm sure with some cutting or anythink it takes, it should be possible.

But in my opinion it's overkill

yeah, its overkill, unless.......

......you can manage to oc that hdd, man, that would be sweet

7200rpm -----> 15,000rpm OC
8mb Cache @15mb Cache
IDE to SATA mod

ooo thatd be tight hahah

have u had a hard drive fail on u in the past?
extra cooling on hard drives will prolong the life of hard drives but u just need one fan blowing in front of it for adequate cooling

it wouldn't be that hard, just swap motors, soldier on some extra cache (guess youd use ram chips???), swap out the controller so it runs on SATA cable, and unsoldier the IDE pins and put in a SATA plug.........

hmmmm, on second thought, maybe you shouldn't oc hdds?

What happens when the cheap aluminum disks (designed for 7200 rpm mind you) rip apart at 15k? Im thinkin the drive would explode... molten shards of metal spraying in all directions...

whats that little blue thing with the golf ball top in the background?

oh yeah, i don't think that fan is gonna do a whole heck of a lot, but hey, whatever floats your boat.......

you cant put the fan right on it, where will the air the fan blows go? Place it like an inch or less away.

Dont you have to have a good intake fan to cool the HDD properly? If you did have one of those little fans blowing on the HDD, you'd be best putting it a few inches away so the fan would be blowing all over it instead of just on that one part.
