I have the ATI CableCard tuner, its worked fine for almost a year now. It was working fine last night. I rebooted my HTPC because I do this sometimes in order to access shared files. That was lat night before I went to bed. Today I tried to watch TV and I keep getting the following error
HDCP Support Required
High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) may not be supported by the current video card. Use an HDCP-comlient display video card and video driver. Or, connect using an analog connection such as component or VGA.
No idea why this is suddently showing up. Using W7 x64 with a 1080p LCD that ive had for over a year now. My HTPC has a GeForce 9400GT video card (which says it supports HDCP i mean afterall it has been working fine up until today). Any thoughts as to why this suddently is coming up. I've tried unplugging/replugging in the cable card. The network page shows it inserted and no errors.
I also have the issue when I try and play back some of my recorded content, not all of it, but some channels it does it to. It'll record things just fine (as it did tonight) but can't play anything from cable.
