I just ordered my 19" widescreen LCD. Im reading now that in order to play hi-def video, you must have an HDCP compliant vid card, AND an HDCP Compliant monitor. How can i tell if my monitor is HDCP compliant? It says it doesnt have an HDMI Connector, but i believe thats something else anyway.

whats the model of your display? hdcp, when iniciated will require a compliant monitor and vid card to play protected hd content in vista. Also hdmi is a connection type, its just a newer version of dvi that also carries sound you dont need it for pc.

Is it possible, if you do have a HDCP monitor with only DVI ports, to convert HDCP HDMI to HDCP DVI or does HDCP prevent itself from being adapted?

yes it is possible. there are many cables that do just that. Its really only changing the physical connection. But remember you will need to find another way to run your audio as dvi does not support audio.

I have a question on a different monitor's HDCP compliancy over DVI?

Anyone know specifically about the 941BW? I know the 940BW and the newer 913BW are but the Samsung 941BW doesn't state it anywhere (mnfg site, etc..)
