So here is the deal I had 2 Sapphire DIRT 3 EDITION Radeon HD 6950's running in crossfire and one of them crapped out on me. I have had some issues with the ATI drivers, but nothing to major. Still I kind of want to switch to Nvidia. Performance matters more to me than who makes it in the end though. So I am considering buying one GTX680. Would the performance be any improvement from what I was getting with my crossfire set up previously? Or would I be better off trying to find another 6950 until I can afford to buy 2 more of a better card?

I am running at 2560 x 1600 running a i7-2600k overclocked to 4ghz and 8GB of Ram. Any advice would be appreciated.
