I've got a set of cans that are absolutely driving me insane, I've got a love/hate relationship with them. I love the sound quality with these, but for the life of me I can't get comfortable wearing them. They weren't this bad before but appear to have gotten worse. The earpad is just too UNcomfortable to wear them, even for 10 minutes.. let alone a couple of hours :(. Has anyone ran into this problem with the HD580s? Are the pads just worn down, were they possibly defective in the first place, and can I get replacements from places other than Sennheiser directly, such as a 3rd party ear pad? Thanks in advance.

Nope, they have to be some of the most comfortable cans I have ever owned. :confused:

There were a few pairs of them for sale on Head-fi but they are gone now.
I would definitely contact Sennheiser about warrantee service on this one.

I totally agree. My Senn 580's were some of the best I've had. I bought some replacement pads straight from Senn and they were not that expensive. Any reason you don't want to go through them for replacement pads?

I'm just thinking that maybe I can get a different fabric or shape (possibly a wider pad, I guess I have wide ears :confused: ). I had read elsewhere that the pads were a little on the expensive side for replacements. I live in Canada, does Senn USA ship to Canada?

Are you referring to the entire headphone, or just the pads?
