Need new phones, left my at-a900's in the hotel on a vacation. Anyways, i was looking at these two headsets and its one or the other. Goin to college so the sealedness of the a900's will come in handy when studying/not to disturb roomate, but the hd555's look to be great phones, and i know i liked my 280's before i upgraded to the 900's. Anyways, just asking for a vote here.

Also, i've never had open phones before, how much can other people actually hear? I listen to my music pretty loud and i don't want to disturb anyone at the library or whatever.

A lot... if you are listening in a library with open headphones they will kill you

If you want an alternative to the A900's, you might want to check out the AKG K271 Studio... I'm very happy with mine. They are slightly harder to drive than the A900's though from what I hear. My mp3 player [av320] drives them fine, although they really shine on my home setup.

haha alright, i guess i'll get another pair of a900's. I love them completely, but they are a little big...

Don't want to come off as a nerd ;)
