Everyone should enter. If you win and can't use it, I'm sure someone else here can.

It doesn't want to work with Firefox, it says the code is wrong every time.

I did mine with firefox. I checked and I already got a confirmation email.

Just for shits and giggles, what kind of PPD would that card output?

Yeah mine worked in FF too. EvilAlchemist can probably give us the best estimate on PPD for this guy.

It even worked in ubuntu firefox ! :)
Great tip, and if I win this, I'll have it fold for H !
Heck, I might turn the entire Donald_A._Perlick farm of 5 cores worth of Q6600s over if I get a great tip like this from here !

My best guess puts this card in the 1800 - 2200 PPD range based on ATI 1.18 public core.

This card will run lambda units better (due to 640SP's) then the 38xx series but small units will run slower due to 575 MHz GPU core,

Im looking at a 4850. How are they performing these days? Do the nvidia cards still wipe the floor with ati?

To answer yout question: If you answer that questions on todays PPD - Nvidia does get more PPD then ATI cards. In a few months ... ??? Can't say 100% yet.

We are always testing something new on the beta cores but it is a slow process.
Before something is released, we like to make sure it is as stable as we can make it.

i entered as well.. if i win one.. it will be added to my HTPC.. using a the onboard hd3200 igp on my 780g motherboard now.. would rather have a dedicated card with 7.1 audio through dvi to hdmi instead of having to use a seperate audio card with digital audio..

I entered, but their options on "What your using now" didn't quite make it back to my ASUS 9600XT. sorry to any of the young-uns that don't remember the 9xxx series ATI cards.
