What is better to buy - HD2900PRO 512mb 512bit or HD3850 256mb ? (the same price -hd2900pro is slighty cheaper)
Im on 1440x900

Is HD2900 silent at IDLE ? (my rig: qpack case, dual core 2160, psu with 350w on 12v rail)

My only fans: stock cpu cooler (800rpm at idle) - veeery silent for me
12cm fan in PSU (modecom)- also quite silent

If you're running SFF, HD3850>2900 Pro, simply because it puts out less heat and takes up less space.

But... if you're going to buy a HD3850 256MB, then you might as well ditch that altogether for an 8800GT 256MB (for about $30 or so more).
