Hello guys, I am looking at a 50" Samsung Plasma and I have noticed something unusual.
Every Plasma I've seen that says it is 1080i ready, is incapable of displaying a signal at 1920x1080. Most have a max res of 1366x768. So the question is, Do all HD plasmas scale the signal to display 1080i? I have only seen CRT computer monitors capable of resolution's that high or more (mine is at 1920x1440) Thank you.
 
It’s a High Def TV first, computer monitor second. 1280 X 768 is standard Hi Def, that one like a few others will over scan a bit but that’s it’s limit.

You're looking for a 1080p panel, vs a 1080i. 1080p's just debuted this year on LCD rear projection televisions, so you probably won't be seeing them on Plasmas for a couple of years....
