i got a new western digital caviar 250gb hard drive 2 months ago and just installed it today and it doesn't work. windows is detecting it ans is telling me it's working fine, but i can't acess it. any help would b appreciated.

i know this may seem like a stupid question, but have you formatted it yet?
 
goto start menu, control panel, admin tools, computer management, disk management tab, format assign drive letter.

Next time also, I recommend trying to search the forum this problem comes up at least 2x a day. If this isn't your specific problem, be more specific in your description of what's going on.
