Hi,

Currently I have Mtron Mobi 32GB SSD (yes I know old), Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 32MB cache and Seagate Barracuda ES 500GB 16GB cache.

I would like to know if getting a VelociRaptor 150GB would be better than the above mentioned drives for a ERP software database based on Microsoft SQL 2005 express. Average size of database is 10GB but I back it up to a different drive every night.
 
I think a modern cheap SSD would be alot better. The Intel X25-V 40GB for example, still does 40MB/s random writes which is at least 40 times better than HDDs.
