I cant seem to find these headphones on any well known sites. I went to newegg, bestbuy, circuitcity, and compusa. The sennheiserusa site dosnt allow you to buy them directly from them.

Where can I find these bad boys? BTW, has anyone had experience with these headphones? Are they nice?

Hey,

I have the HD495's and they rock. They cost me $150 Canadian, and they are worth it.

Check here for your HD595 and click buy now at the bottom

Cheers,

Thanks for the link. Is this site trusted to be good quality? Anyone here bought from them?

Lol how Ironic I just found them on Amazon as well. Was just going to say I'll grab them there instead.

Thanks for the help Eigt

Yes and yes.

They have a great return policy, if you don't like them, you can send them back within 30 days. Just fill out the return card and send, no questions.

i would hope you have an AMP to power them

An AMP? I'm just going to be putting them into my Logitec Speakers...something wrong with that?:(

What if I used Klipsch speakers and pulled my headphones into them. Would they be substantial?

headroom is a great place to get them from
the hd595s sound decent unamped from what i've read

I got them off Amazon because I have had good experience with them and I already got them on one click buy:)

These headphones will make crappy sound sound real crappy right? Like counter-strike, my brother says that with high quality headphones it brings out flaws in the sound that you cant here on cheap headphones.

uhh no, your brother is retarded

if you have MP3's at 128kb or lower you will hear the flaws

and since your just plugging them into the headphone out in your klipschs your not going to unleash the full potential of those headphones

i know this is alittle late but since your going unamped i would have bought the HD555's.

I have a pair of H495's and they sound great comming from my sound card. Now I know that the sound from my amp is better, but for Head Phones for the computer they are really good. Plus you can get a headphone amp cheap anyway.

Cheers,

I have HD477 and the top end is less than impressive. Anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Are you running then through and Amplifier, or straight sound card. If its the later, get and Amp to beef up the sound. If its the first option, than you may need an upgrade, if its not to your liking.

Cheers,

(I think you are running AMP less?)

Where can I get a good cheap amp? The one on that site was $150 for the cheapest. Is that the cheapest I can get before sound dosnt change much from the speaker plug?

I bet if you checks the for sale section here and at Head-fi you could prolly find a better cheap amp then the Airhead. ;)

I don't understand how the AMP works...

You plug the headphone jack into it obviously. But don't you still have to plug another jack into the stereo headphone IN, or what have you? Thus eliminating the purpose of getting an amp?

Someone enlighten me.

PS: Oh yeah, I'd get new headphones before I spent $150USD on an AMP... lol.

That extra connection is tle line-level connection. You run a cable from the line-out (not the headphone-out) of your source to the line-in of the headphone amp, then you plug your headphones into the headphone jack of the headphone amp. This allows you to bypass the built-in headphone jack of your source - and most headphone jacks built into sources are poorly designed, with either cheap op-amps that cost just 5 cents to buy or filtered with cheap, 5-cent resistors! As a result, those built-in headphone jacks in most sources (especially portable players) either deliver muddy, distorted sound or are so weak that they are unable to drive anything but the worst-sounding earbuds.

you should also check out DIY'ers that build amps for others such as x86dude aka misterx

I paid only a bit more then i would have with headsave and i got extra goodies like extra buffers, better pot, and other parts as well as power supply and interconnect and shipping. =D
i think i saved a good $75 over headsave.

I just got some Klipsch 5.1 Ultras:D For some DVD+Gameing Goodness.

I'm sure the sound quality of the Klipsch Headphone plug is fine. My brother has 2.1's and his HD500's sound nice on them. Good bass..etc.

um....the klipsch headphone output doesnt amp the headphones

and

the HD500 arent sennheiser's best headphones and they can be powered easily by a soundcard but your High End HD595 will need extra juice

Side question on amps:

I'm going to be getting an iRiver iHP-120 soon and have been thinking of getting some HD497s for it as well (also for computer use). Would these be better with an amp, or is it just a waste with that cheap of a set of headphones?

The HD497's don't need an amp. You could put them on an amp if you wanted, but you'd be better off spending the amp money on better headphones, and then buying an amp ;)

ok thanks, I think i'll just stay with the high end cheapies for now....still not ready for the dive into super headphone heaven...
