Whats good about ATI cards that their holes/mountings placement stay the same throughout the X and HD generation. Does any one have a 4850 with a maze 4 on it, if so what are the temps, idle and load.

My 4850 will get here on Tuesday... gerr  can't wait.

Thanks

I'm not asking if it works, I already KNOW that it works, i'm asking what are the temps,

Anyway... does any one have a maze on 4850?

im using a zalman block on my visiontek 4850 and it idles at 38-40 and the highest load ive seen so far is 48. im sure a maze 4 would do equally good if not better.

Hmm.... wouldn't it be best to follow a thread with someone running a waterblock on their card to see the temps? You aren't going to get more than a 1-2c difference between waterblocks so what is the difference?

True, but i believe i'm the first one to put up a 4850 watercooling thread in OC/WC section, if not, then i just want to see if some one still using old school Denger Den equipment :)

And here is the red girl :D Idles around 38-40C Load temps 42-45C

Absolutely love it! :)

is that the bottom of the stock heatsink for the ram? What are you using for the mosfets?

I was planning to use my maze4 but now I have a maze5 I screod for $24 so I may as well use that...

For ram and v regulators i used stock cooler/heatsink, cut that thing with a hack saw, trimmed all of the corners with rotary tool :D

I do have nice heatsinks for ram tho... but no thermal tape... so i decided to cut the stock cooler :p it does the job.
